- 9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role - Staff and lead team of 25+ Test Engineers including Environmental Test Lab staff.
- Provide Technical direction to all environmental and instrumentation test activities.
- Influence and steer development of all vehicle, subsystem and component test plans/reports.
- Support and direct Environmental Test Lab maintenance and operation (Temp & Humidity, Shock & Vib, Sand & Dust, Multi-Axis Simulator, Hyd/Load Testing, Salt Fog/HALT, Acoustics, Custom Test Capabilities & Design).
- Test/data instrumentation, acquisition, reduction, reporting for Lab and full vehicle tests.
- Generate and assess environmental requirements compliance throughout the design and development cycle.
- Develop System Performance Specification (SPS) System Verification, test methods, system/subsystem VP&R, verification, test plans, final test reports.
- Develop solutions and recommendations to mitigate, reduce or eliminate Environmental issue from concept to design. Perform and prepare investigations/root cause corrective action of Environmental issues.
- Develop Qualification, First Article Test (FAT), Control and Obsolescence Test Plans and conduct testing and failure analysis.
- Vendor qualification witness/review/approval.
- Working knowledge of Test principles and theoretical knowledge and application of Strain gages, pressure inducers, accelerometers, flow meters and load cells, shock & vibration testing.
- Working knowledge of MIL-SWTD 810G and ATPD 2404/A.
- Working knowledge of Field Test activities and processes at USG sites (APG, YPG, EPG, RTC, WSMR, etc.) and GDLS test sites (ETC, ARES).
- Knowledge of GDLS platforms (wheeled, tracked, specialty).
Qualifications Sought - Currently hold/capable of acquiring a Secret clearance.
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering. Other related disciplines will be considered with relevant experience.
- Extensive leadership experience to include mentoring and coaching.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing needs and respond to short-fused assignments in a timely manner.
- Work independently as well as with a team.
- Occasional OT/weekend work and travel required.
- Work load planning for employees and tool/lab resources.
- Employee training, development, goal planning, performance evaluation and recognition (awards and advancements).
- Timecard management.
- ISO & IPS compliance.
- Develop proposal/bids in response to RFP/RFQ and walk-in requests; working knowledge of CLM tool.
- Ensure on-time delivery of high quality Environmental Test work products and artifacts.
- Working knowledge of EVMS and project scheduling.
