Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and proactive Content and Editing Assistant to add to a culinary creator on our roster’s team. This role involves supporting the creator in content creation and editing, ensuring all content is produced on schedule, and assisting in filming on-site and at events and in New York. The ideal candidate should have a passion for food, social media, and video editing, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to work collaboratively with a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Management: Help organize and manage the creator's content schedule, ensuring deadlines are met and the content production process runs smoothly.
  • Content Filming: Assist in filming content in-person in Brooklyn, NY, and at various events as needed. This will include helping with camera setups, lighting, and occasionally working behind the scenes to ensure smooth filming.
  • Video Editing: Assist in editing rough cuts of videos, ensuring that at least one video per week is edited and ready for release. This includes trimming, adding transitions, adjusting sound and lighting, and maintaining the creator's signature style.
  • Content Coordination: Communicate with other team members or collaborators when necessary to ensure that everyone is aligned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in content creation, video editing, or similar roles (preferably within the food or lifestyle industry)
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Capcut or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of video production and post-production processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for food, baking, and creative content is a plus
  • Substack writing experience is a plus
  • Must be based in or near Brooklyn, NY, and able to assist in-person on filming days
