Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician located in Evanston, Wyoming. The Technician will be responsible for motor control, process control, troubleshooting, instrumentation, and calibration tasks.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems using multi-meters, heart communicators, and various software programs.
• Install and repair pressure, level, temperature transmitters, flow meters, and control valves, including associated wiring and conduit. Be able to calibrate said equipment.
• Work independently as well as part of a team to complete tasks.
• Diagnose technical problems and determine how to correct them, checking repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
• With proper training, you may operate equipment such as forklifts, mobile elevated work platforms, backhoes, etc.
• Request vendor quotes and utilize the purchase order system to procure needed materials.
• Work with and oversee outsourced third-party service agreements that vendors provide.
• Ensure safe and efficient production operations and maintenance activities utilizing safe work permits.
• Participate in the work order system. Ensure the system is being utilized to document system failures and repairs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, including recommendations for cost control, savings, and improvements for production and operations.
• Work with other disciplines, such as engineering, to develop and execute projects in the plant and field.
• Help lead and drive the North Shore safety culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Certifications such as Journeyman or Master Electrician are desirable but not required.
