Grant Accountant

trak group is partnering with a mission-focused nonprofit to find a Grant Accountant who can bring structure, clarity, and confidence to grant compliance and financial tracking. What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day grant accounting functions, including budget tracking, drawdowns, and audit preparation
  • Ensure compliance with federal and non-federal grant requirements
  • Serve as a resource to internal teams by training staff on grant procedures and expectations
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and contribute to the monthly close process
  • Assist with reporting, invoicing, and cash flow strategy related to grants
  • Support financial activity tied to third-party partnerships

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of accounting experience; nonprofit or grant accounting experience is a plus
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with GAAP, OMB guidelines, and funder reporting requirements—or a strong willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Setting: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH with hybrid flexibility (1 WFH day after onboarding)
