Pella Products of Kansas City is a distributor of Pella® Windows and Doors located in Lenexa, KS. This role has the opportunity to be successful selling directly to homeowners in their home helping them with their window and door needs. With over 40 years of exclusive service in the Kansas City metro area, the Pella Products of Kansas City team has provided the tools for sales representatives to thrive.

  Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an In Home Sales Representative at Pella Products of Kansas City. Over 80% of sales appointments are company driven. In Home Sales Rep will be responsible for assessing customer needs, recommending solutions from our Pella® product line, providing pre-finishing options, and facilitating the sales process. This role involves working closely with customers to ensure a seamless and satisfactory experience from product selection to installation. The In Home Sales Rep sells directly to homeowners who benefit from our solutions and installation services. Sales area will be restricted to the Metro Kansas City 8 county area.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Present product offerings during preset in-home sales consultations using a proven, scripted sales process
  • Work independently throughout the day with customer appointments, visiting on-going customer projects, completing necessary administrative tasks and effectively calling upon previously met with customers.
  • Communicate with both internal and external customers 
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate information and timely follow-up. 
  • Professionally and honestly represent products and services without making any false claims or warranties.
  • Provide accurate and correct information from Pella KC to consumers in regard to pricing, product instructions, contracts, quotations, and reports.
  • Provide all necessary paper work and related follow up information to ensure accurate and orderly installation of products to the customer within the confines of established company production and installation schedules.
  • Actively advocate for Pella products and services beyond the workplace. Develop and communicate a strong value proposition to prospects and clients.
  • Attend required sales meetings and team conference calls.
  • Solve problems and negotiate conflict.
  • Operate within company policies and procedures.
  • Perform positively within a goal-oriented environment.
  • Acquire new customers through self-gen activities to meet growth objectives.
  • Maintain a team attitude.

This role has a base salary with the opportunity to earn commissions on sales and bonuses as performance metrics are met. A company laptop and company vehicle is provided (fuel and maintenance covered by company) and team members will be paid a monthly cell phone reimbursement.

 

Qualifications

Sales skills preferred

Willingness to learn window and door products

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in home improvement or construction industry is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree is a plus
