What skills are required: Inpatient, 3+ years of hands-on, IV, Must have clinical experience. Must be able to independently compound sterile products

Dates of Coverage needed: ASAP through August. With possibility of extension and/or temp to hire.
Coverage Hours needed: variable days Sun through Wednesdays every other week and Mon through Thursday every other week
Is weekend coverage needed? Sun 7-11am
Will this person need to take on-call? If yes, what days/hours? Yes, on days scheduled to work (Mondays-Saturday 15:30 to 07:00, and Sundays 11:00 to Monday 0700)

Site Automation: Pyxis, Alaris Pump, Pharmacy Keeper
Site Specialty Areas: Active infusion
Staff Size: Pharmacist 2 FTE, tech 2 FTE
Job responsibilities: Includes order verification, filling orders with correct medication. sterile compounding of medication, checking work of technicians, performing clinical function such as pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation monitoring and antimicrobial monitoring etc. Refilling Pyxis machines. Participate in projects.
Tech’s role: Tech assists with filling Pyxis on most Mondays through Saturdays.
How many days of training/orientation are required prior to start? 2-4 weeks, must pass all sterile compounding competencies within 3 weeks of starting.

1. Pants: Dress pants, khakis or corduroys, Suit pants, Jeans (clean, free of rips, tears, fraying; not excessively tight or revealing), Capri's (mid-calf or ankle length) including jean capri's
2. SHIRTS - TOPS – JACKETS: Polo collar knit or golf shirts, Button-down shirts, Banner Health logo top, Sweaters, long or short sleeve, Short-sleeve or sleeveless blouses or shirts, Turtlenecks, Blazers or sports coats
3. DRESSES – SKIRTS: Casual dresses (as long as no shorter than 2 inches above the knee), Dress skirts
