Job Description

Who We're Looking For:

Do you find yourself captivated by exceptional businesses with enduring competitive advantages? If you enjoy the art of identifying high-quality companies that can compound returns over the long haul, we'd love to talk. We are seeking an insightful Investment Analyst who has a genuine enthusiasm for exploring companies' economic moats, capital allocation strategies, and long-term value creation.

The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative and operate independently in uncovering new investment ideas, performing meticulous research, and gathering diverse investment information. They will be able to develop robust financial models and distill complex information into actionable insights to aid senior management in the investment decision-making process.

We value independent thinkers who are intellectually curious and eager to discover overlooked gems across diverse industries. We are looking for someone who had “caught the investment bug” – one who enjoys the process of digging in, thinking long term, and forming independent conclusions.

What You'll Do:

  • Proactively identify and explore potential high-quality compounder stocks.
  • Perform rigorous fundamental research, financial analysis, and valuation modeling.
  • Gather and interpret financial data from company filings, earnings calls, and industry reports.
  • Create detailed Excel-based financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate your findings, highlighting investment theses, risks, and key drivers to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing investments, staying alert to emerging opportunities and risks.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in investment analysis, equity research, private equity, investment banking, or a related financial role.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Python or other programming and data tools is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of financial statements, SEC filings, and valuation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to work independently.

Bonus Points:

  • Proven interest in or exposure to long-term investing approaches demonstrated through personal portfolios, online publications (e.g., SumZero, VIC, Seeking Alpha, Substack), or prior roles.
