Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a “ Pharmacist ” position that will provide support to our client's healthcare systems in New York, NY 10041. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Range: $3000 - $3750 Gross Weekly

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a licensed and experienced Pharmacist to support our client’s healthcare operations in New York. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pharmacy dispensing systems, sterile processing, IV room procedures, and familiarity with EMR systems. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team and make a direct impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with prescriptions and regulatory requirements
Oversee sterile processing and maintain IV room standards to ensure safe medication preparation
Utilize pharmacy dispensing systems for accurate record-keeping and workflow management
Collaborate with healthcare providers to review medication orders and ensure appropriate therapy
Maintain patient records and medication histories in the EMR system
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting
Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems, sterile processing, IV room procedures , and EMR systems (preferred)
Valid license to practice as a pharmacist issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) – Primary Source Verification required
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience with electronic health records
Knowledge of USP <797> and <800> standards
