Job Description

Position Summary:

The ALTA Program Manager will oversee and manage large-scale land survey programs, with a strong emphasis on ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys supporting commercial real estate transactions. This role is responsible for the coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of survey products, serving as the central point of contact for clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate must be a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Kentucky and possess strong leadership and project management experience in survey operations and real estate due diligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead program manager on ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey portfolios delivering timely and accurate execution of deliverables in compliance with client expectations and industry standards.
  • Serve as the main client liaison for assigned survey programs, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and managing client relationships.
  • Direct the planning, resourcing, and coordination of multiple concurrent survey projects from inception through delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with land surveyors, project managers, zoning specialists, and administrative staff to drive program execution.
  • Conduct detailed technical reviews of ALTA survey deliverables to ensure compliance with current ALTA/NSPS standards, state regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
  • Maintain strict adherence to program budgets, schedules, and performance metrics while identifying areas for improvement and cost control.
  • Onboard new clients and survey programs in partnership with operations and sales teams, developing customized scope and service strategies.
  • Mentor and lead junior staff and survey coordinators, providing leadership and technical guidance to support team development and program growth.
  • Monitor changes in Kentucky survey laws, ALTA requirements, and industry trends to ensure continued compliance and excellence in service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of Kentucky required. Other PLS a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management within the land surveying or commercial real estate industry.
  • In-depth understanding of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey requirements and the commercial due diligence process.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site, high-volume survey programs with strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and project tracking tools.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed for project reviews or client meetings.
