Note : This is an on site position at the Roseland, NJ office. After 1 year, attorneys may be able to work a hybrid schedule.

Job Description

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of bankruptcy experience to join their team. Responsibilities include:

  • Representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, and restructuring matters
  • Drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and memoranda
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
  • Advising clients on bankruptcy and financial restructuring issues
  • Attending court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey
  • 2+ years of experience in bankruptcy law
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to handle cases independently and work collaboratively within a team
  • Prior experience in Chapter 11, Chapter 7, or restructuring matters is a plus
