Job Description

We are seeking a Workday HCM Analyst to join our IT team. This individual will drive Workday initiatives, support HR and Payroll solutions, and collaborate across business units, IT, and vendors.

The role requires hands-on execution, gathering requirements, developing test plans, and leading user acceptance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for HR and Payroll systems.
  • Develop test plans, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure successful deployments.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Provide hands-on production support for Workday, JD Edwards Enterprise One, and related integrations.
  • Partner with Project Managers, SMEs, analysts, and developers on solution delivery.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Manage project workstreams to meet deadlines and expectations.
  • Mentor junior team members and help build internal capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with IT General Controls and Change Management processes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • At least 2 years specifically supporting Workday HCM.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Talent Optimization, Total Rewards/Cloud Connect Benefits, Payroll, or other key functional areas.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, design workflows, and lead testing activities.
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Familiarity with third-party payroll integrations, preferably JD Edwards Enterprise One.
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll business processes, including union and non-union environments.
  • Strong skills in writing business requirements, technical specifications, and user documentation.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing enterprise applications and coordinating multi-team solutions.
  • Preferred: SQL database experience and ability to write queries for data analysis.
